Our 1st Ever Christmas Get Together

Aside from the summer team-building activity, one of the events that most employees look forward to every year is the Christmas party get together where employees get the chance to relax for a day and have fun along with their colleagues. This is usually the time wherein each and everybody gets the chance to expose their talents through dance, songs, and even through some short skits. But the Christmas party is not just about having fun and relaxing before the year ends. It also helps to strengthen the bond of each and every employee.

Being a virtual assistant, there are only very few opportunities for the entire team to get together since we are all working in the comforts of our home. Thus, events like this is very exciting for all of us. Not only do we celebrate the season, but it becomes the second “team-building” of the year!

• The Christmas get together closes the gap between me and the other members of the team. Since we do not work in one office and there’s a distance between each one of us, we don’t really have the chance to go out very often and get to know each other. But, during the Christmas party celebration, we have the chance to get along and to know more about each other. Closing the gaps and continue being as one not just during the games and presentation but also at work.

The Christmas party get together helps in improving camaraderie. Christmas parties will never be complete without team presentations and games. Well, games and presentations best help in practicing teamwork. Each of the members of the team can express their opinions in order to come up with a good idea to win the Christmas presentation and work together to win the games. Proving that working together as one really works.

The Christmas get together helps us to be familiar with each other more. Despite the limited time to be together as a team, the Christmas party celebration helps for us to know each other more, knowing what the strengths and weaknesses of each other and how to use the skills that each of us have in order to achieve success.

The Christmas get together is a fun time for us. The event was really very helpful to improve our relationship with each other despite the distances. It was not just a fun time but a memorable experience that all of us will surely treasure.
