2020 is one crazy ride! Imagine how an entire year was almost wasted because of canceled plans? Can you still remember the time you collected dust while sitting on your favorite couch because you can go outside because it's too risky? I bet we all have our own COVID quarantine stories to tell.
But that's not it! Aside from COVID, all of us are surely fighting some silent battles, keeping ourselves calm amidst the pandemic. What lessons have you learned from 2020 to help you be better this new year?
The new year is time for a fresh start. New beginnings as they say. Leave your worries behind because this is the perfect time to apply all your learnings from the previous year to become a better you! You might still feel apprehensive diving into 2021 but let me share with you some lessons to help you face this year's rocky start.
1.Care for your Mental Health - The coronavirus outbreak negatively affected people's mental health. Not being able to do the things that you used to do is truly stressful. Anxiety and depression rates increased. So this year, taking care of your mental health is a must.
2.Always have a plan B- Instead of stressing yourself over canceled trips, always have with you a plan B. Make every single minute worthwhile!
3.Slow it Down - Things and events around us are becoming more and more unexpected. Instead of rushing yourself, find some time to slow down. Savor every moment by creating wonderful memories.

4.Find your comfort - What makes you feel comfortable? Seek comfort in the familiar. Calling and chatting with friends is just one of the many options!
5.Take a social media breather. - Another thing that causes stress is the news spreading around social media. Give yourself a social media break. You got too stressed by reading hoax news and articles last year. Don't make the same mistake this year.
6.Don't take anything for granted. - 2020 stole a lot of things from us. So this year, don't take anything for granted. Celebrate small wins and be grateful.

2020 is an eye-opener to each one of us. Surely one of the most unforgettable year. How about you? What lessons from 2020 are you taking with you this new year?
