A Message from the CEO

We couldn't be more happy to let 2020 go as it has been a challenging year marked by the unforeseen changes to work and personal lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic and at our end, the typhoons. It's been a year of learning for all of us on both the professional and personal side of our lives. More so, a year of reflection to appreciate and be grateful for the intangible things in life - health, on top of everything.
As we all report back to work today, in behalf of the team, I would like to greet you all a Happy New Year and say Thank you for being with us in 2020. Each of you deserve a special note of thanks for keeping your trust in us this 2021. We look forward to supporting your business goals as we continue our journey towards our success.
Along with expanding our services and introducing new products, our Empowering Entrepreneurs family continues to grow and is currently training more Virtual Assistants to serve more clients who prefer dedicated working hours at their time zone. We adopted the 24-hour shifting schedule Mondays to Fridays of our Team Leaders to bridge the time difference and has a Team Leader on call for weekend work. From the weekly and monthly team meetings to virtual parties, we learned more about one another's creativeness and cooperation to make it a success. Truthfully, this year's adversity has brought us stronger together.
As the CEO of Empowering Entrepreneurs, it is important to let you know that I have had my share of learnings in 2020 and I want to communicate that it brought a lot of opportunities for our progress and the credit goes to our hardworking Virtual Assistants. As we closed 2020 successfully, we hope that the motivation will continue to give us the boost that we need all year long.
More importantly, we have been successful to maintain our resilience during the very tough times at the latter part of 2020. At the same time, we have strengthened our resolve to fight against all odds. Most importantly, our focus on client satisfaction always kept us motivated for the better. The passion underlying our operations will continue to motivate us for the same in the future.

A Message from the CEO

The Virtual Assistance industry continues to thrive, even with the global pandemic, we are blessed to have the opportunity to keep doing what we are empowered to do.
As the co-founder of Empowering Entrepreneurs, and the founder of several startups before this, it is my honor and privilege to do what I am truly passionate at and what I love for a living — empowering people to power their success through our Virtual Assistants.
As the CEO of Empowering Entrepreneurs, it’s also been my honor and privilege to have worn all the other hats. In the startup days, I was the support, accounting, and marketing. For more than a year, I was also sales, HR-Admin, and yes, just like the famous Pepper Potts said and I quote "occasionally taking out the trash" in our office.
To this day, I tell my team I started to where they did. Way back, I had not as much resource as how I put together what they have now. And yes, I still do most of the VA work - most especially when a VIP client asks for it.
I love all of that — doing so many different things, each day different, every day has its own struggle and each day poses a different kind of difficulty, but in the good way, like when I just came from a 5-km walk and my legs are sore I can barely get up but happy and feeling healthier.
Today, as we continue to grow, the job of the CEO has changed considerably. It’s not about some “hero” founder acting the superwoman doing all by herself — all the work, and all the decisions. It’s about building our team, hiring people with the right attitude and who are more talented than the CEO (or founder!) at each position, empowering those people to lead and grow, coordinating everyone around common goals, and ensuring our core values grows stronger as we grow, not weakened as we lose the mood that earned us our current place in the market and our clients’ hearts.
We need the best people to continue what my co-founder Myla and I started! As of today, we have 5 Team Leaders covering the 24-hour shift Mondays to Fridays, 12 Virtual Assistants working flexibly, 4 reliable associates in the HR-Admin/Accounts and an equally committed to clients success, a Business Partner also wearing the Project Manager hat.
I will be continuing the CEO post but will be time-sharing with the CMO post. This means I’m free to focus on what I love best and what I do best, which is running and growing an organization. As a team, it means we’ll have even more focus on empowerment, in growing the team, in accelerating the rate at which we bring you new products, as well as more services powering you and your businesses success.
We are confident that we can exceed expectations by upholding our core values, developing and nurturing our Virtual Assistants skills, behaving responsibly, continuous improvement, and keeping our team empowered. We here at Empowering Entrepreneurs keep you, our valued clients, at the heart of all we do.
Let me add a personal note. Along with everyone else at Empowering Entrepreneurs, we are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, I am working hard to cope with this crisis. We – and I – will be with you every step of the way. Like most of you, I also have a family to worry about. At times like these, the worry list can be long for all of us, there are no exceptions. But I am also convinced that we will get through this, if we do our share in helping our Frontliners and keeping our faith. It is literally in our hands.
