Opportunity VS. Dream

They say we must grab any opportunity for opportunities knocks on our door only once. But, some highly recommend that we must and we should live to pursue our dreams. Because of these two battling ideas, we are usually on the fence and even ask ourselves, “What should I really do? I don’t want to waste time so I must accept any opportunity. I don’t want to waste time so I must continue pursuing my dreams and leave all the doors closed for possible opportunities.” Very tricky isn’t it? But what if saying YES to any opportunity is the best route towards achieving your dreams? Will you still say NO? Will you be ready to regret the missed chances?

In life there are only two choices: Take the risk and learn or stay in our comfort zone and regret the chances we didn’t take. Decision making is hard especially when it’s about the future. It’s not just a battle between coffee and tea, sandwich vs. cookies, beef vs. chicken or sneaker vs. fit flops. We have to weigh down the options before we press the button of opportunity and dreams. But the thing is, we should always look on the brighter side. Taking the risk and welcoming an opportunity is never a waste of time. Every chance we take pave our way towards our goals. It may not be what we want, but it’s what we need. Dreams and goals will always be there, waiting for us to reach them. Taking chances and opportunities doesn’t mean that we actually don’t have a choice. We just know that there is the right timing for us to achieve what we want. 

Sometimes, even our dreams and goals disguise in the form of opportunities. We never know unless we try. Maybe the best doctor you know was once an office clerk.  The richest man in town experienced being an online vendor. They became successful because they didn’t let any opportunity pass no matter how small it is. Stop saying NO. Say YES more often. Instead of saying: No, I won’t accept that. That’s not what dreamed to be. Practice saying: Sure! I’d love to give it a try. In every opportunity we take, are lessons which will help build stronger stairs towards dream and success. Successful people did not succeed without trying and taking chances.
