Forwarding My VA Career

Updated: Aug 14, 2020

It seems like yesterday when I started my Virtual Assistant career. This was my feeling when I was given the blog spot to write about my life as a Virtual Assistant.

It was during my college days when I started my VA career as a web researcher to an Australian client. There are tough days when school projects and assignments would coincide with work deadlines but I never got demotivated because working as a VA brought me new learning plus additional income. When graduation time came, I already made my mind that from being a part-time VA, I wanted to land a full-time VA job. Fortunately, I am on a full-time job until now.

What really caught my interest is that being a VA opens opportunities to expand your knowledge and enhance your skills. I’m not stuck to one task. I mean I wasn’t just doing web research all those years. I was introduced to social media management, website editing, creating graphics using different online apps, email marketing and a whole lot more! A major plus is the time flexibility and ability to work anywhere as long as there is internet connection that the clients has given me.

To date, I have been entrusted a new role – Team Leader. It’s not that simple but I start by making myself a good example to them. Helping the team to grow to meet the clients demands is my focus. At the end of the day, we aim to impress through the quality of the work we do, on top of just meeting the clients expectations.

Let me just put this in record, I am challenged to be more determined and to double the hard work towards success. My success is on my team’s success. Our success is the clients success.
