According to CDC breast cancer can begin in different parts of the breast. A breast is made up of 3 main parts: lobules, ducts & connective tissue. The lobules are the glands that produce milk. The ducts are the tubes that carry milk to the nipple. The connective tissue surrounds and holds everything together. Most breast cancer begins in the ducts or lobules.
Breast Cancer is the #1 cancer enemy for women, and there’s a way to reduce your risk of having breast cancer.
7 Tips to reduce your risk on having breast cancer:
1. Limit your alcohol and don’t smoke.
- The more alcohol you drink and cigarettes you smoke, the greater your risk of developing breast cancer.
2. Control your weight / Healthy Diet
- Because being overweight can increase the risk of Breast Cancer.
3. Physically Active.
- If you are physically active, then you are keeping up your weight, it helps to prevent breast cancer.
4. Breast-Feed.
- The longer you breastfeed, the greater the protection against breast cancer effect.
5. Eat Healthy
- If you eat healthy, it might help to decrease the risk of any types of cancer. Fruits and vegetables may also help to reduce the risk of developing Breast Cancer.
6. Be Vigilant.
- If you notice any changes to your body, consult your Doctor right away.
And lastly,
7. Find out your Family History.
- A doctor / genetic counselor can help you to understand your family history. If you have family members who have breast cancer, better to be aware and get a regular test.
