TOP 8 Online Tools When Using a Virtual Assistant

It’s been almost 10 years of being a Virtual Assistant and an entrepreneur. I wouldn’t be where I am now if not for the people who trusted me, who worked with me, who motivated me to keep going and those who taught me about the tools to help me become more effective and efficient. These tools that I introduced to all my clients and have loved using them too. The list continues to grow but here are my most used and most trusted.

8. Worksnaps. Time-tracking has never been this easy! Not only for me but for my team and clients. The reports are easily generated and so is the management of users and projects. I’ve tried using other time-trackers but after 3 tries, I decided to go with Worksnaps and it’s been 6 years and counting.

7. Last Pass. I’ve been a premium/paid user for over 3 years now and the convenience it gives me in logging in different online platforms is truly a blessing. Even with my clients and team, I recommend using Last Pass to ensure security. It doesn’t show us the actual passwords but it allows us to access the site. You can then sleep soundly at night.

6. Dropbox. Cloud storage and sharing is made easier with Dropbox – be it in the computer or the mobile phone. With the new features, my paid account is truly worth it.

5. Trello. Our team’s collaboration tool since day 1. It works perfectly for us since it also is available as a mobile app. The customization, drag & drop and the many features are what I love the most.

4. Skype. We were able to get a US-phone number via Skype. We get to send text messages and do unlimited calls to our clients in the US. We also use Skype as our team’s primary instant messaging tool.

3. Zoom. I had to sign up on a paid account to fully enjoy Zoom. I love it so much but most importantly, I get to record all my HD video conferences and meetings!

2. GMail. Actually, GSuite but then it’s GMail that I frequently use. We use it primarily in business correspondence. To add, the other features I truly love are the ease of sharing files and use of calendar within the organization.

1. Canva. This tops my list since most of my projects require graphics that it literally saves me so much time! The ease of use and the professional look of the finished graphics are top-notch. I couldn’t be more thankful I found Canva!

Tested and proven through the years, I will continue using these tools / apps but as the internet world continues to evolve, I am always in the watch of the latest and trending. At the end of the day though, I say it still depends on the user. What works for me, may not work for you. But hey – it’s always worth a try!
